Abstract:

The Land Use Planning approach used in this Guidebook focuses on the documenting and promoting of sustainable management of the strategic natural resources (land, water, forests, grazing land etc.) within the Townships of Nyaung-U and Kyaukpadaung in Mandalay region of Myanmar.

This guidebook breaks down the complex process of land use planning into simple actionable steps for easy implementation at the township levels. In order to promote sustainable agricultural and forestry practices, this guidebook provides guidance on approaches for involving the rural communities and land resource users.
