The objectives of the Community Forestry are as follows:
(a) To provide forest and tree related basic needs such as wood and non-wood forest products for local communities;
(b) To enhance employment and income opportunities for local community and reduce poverty;
(c) To increase forest covered area in a sustainable manner and to ensure sustainable utilization;
(d) To promote participatory forest management system, and
(e) To enhance environmental services that can support climate change mitigation and adaption through preventing deforestation and forest degradation.
